Eco Engineer Daniel Veenboer from EFFEKT will present the Urban Village Project to the audience of the 100% Climate Neutrality conference, taking place on September 30th-October 2nd in Sonderborg, Denmark.
How can we make sure that we achieve 100% climate neutrality? What is the role of science, industry, and municipalities? – How do we use municipal platforms to create more actions and impact?
These questions are among the themes that year's climate neutrality conference focusses on – together with new technology developments, learnings from city demonstration projects, innovative business solutions, the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in a climate neutrality perspective, youth participation and strategies based on what a municipality can achieve by coordinated actions and strong political alignment.
The 100% Climate Neutrality conference originates from a collaboration of universities, municipalities and innovation actors across the Danish/German border region. Besides the University of Southern Denmark, which was represented originally by the Mads Clausen Institute and now in addition the Department of Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology and Environmental Technology, the Europa-Universität Flensburg, Hochschule Flensburg, Klimapakt Flensburg , and ProjectZero Sonderborg participate too.
The conference is organized biannually. On odd-numbered years it takes place in Sonderborg, Denmark—a municipality that has thrived for CO2 neutrality growth since 2007. It alternates with the 100% Renewable Energy conference in Flensburg, which is organized on even-numbered years.
