The 2019 C40 World Mayors Summit is held on October 9-12th in Copenhagen, where mayors from all over the world will gather to work together to reduce CO2 emissions and increase cities' resilience to climate change. EFFEKT is participating in three key events:
- October 9th / h 16.00 Reinventing Cities Exhibition - opening at the Confederation of Danish Industry.
Organized by C40 Cities, EIT Climate-KIC, the Confederation of Danish Industry and the Danish Association of Architectural Firms, the exhibition will showcase models and materials from a selection of significative projects, including the Camp Adventure Forest Tower model, displayed to the public for the first time.
- October 10th / h 10.30 - The Circular City - C40 Talk at SPACE10
Space10 is hosting a talk with EFFEKT partner Sinus Lynge about the vision and approach behind the Urban Village Project - designed with EFFEKT and launched earlier this summer at the IKEA Democratic Design Days.
- October 10th / h. 14.00 – Shared Living and Sustainable City debate at BLOXHUB
The debate, organized by PensionDanmark and Realdania, brings together key Danish actors to debate the role of new community-oriented housing forms in the sustainable metropolis of the future. EFFEKT COO Mikkel Bøgh will discuss new ways of living with community with representatives from PensionDanmark, Realdania, WE DO DEMOCRACY, KADK and Balancen.
All events are held in English, with free admittance upon registration.
