Such a pleasure to host a workshop with our client and collaborators from Switzerland to discuss our shared vision for a new neighbourhood in the historic city of Glarus.
Our proposal encourages a healthier way of living, both socially and environmentally and will be open and well-connected to place and nature on every level. From the site’s location beside the River Linth facing the historic centre, to the new park that creates a gateway to the neighbourhood, to the lush greenery that permeates throughout the plan.
During the workshop, we concentrated on aligning design solutions and reviewing facades to match the overall concept and design manual we have developed for the site as part of the masterplan. We also delved into various technical aspects related to the basement, landscape, and buildings, as we prepare for the forthcoming building permit submission, scheduled for early next year. Our visit to Living Places allowed us to share insights on timber construction and healthy home principles.
Thank you to our client and collaborators: Kartoni Quartier AG, Esch Sintzel Architekten GmbH, BGS & Partner Architekten AG and Jung Architektur GmbH.
