Streetmekka Esbjerg shortlisted for the World Architecture Festival Awards 2016
Streetmekka Esbjerg has been shortlisted in this year’s World Architecture Festival Awards in the category Sport - Completed Buildings. Streetmekka Esbjerg is the transformation of an abandoned industrial train engine depot into a vibrant cultural and social platform for street sports, creativity and community. The building opened to the public in January 2016 and in less than four months it has received more than 18.000 visitors and memberships have well exceeded 2000. The final winner will be announced at the World Architecture Festival taking place in Berlin, Germany 16 - 18 November 2016.
