Living Places Copenhagen obtains the Architizer A+ Award

Living Places Copenhagen has been awarded with the 12th Architizer A+Award in the Sustainable Private House category, and has been selected as the Popular Choice Winner in the Architecture+Innovation category, among entries from over 80 countries.

The Architizer A+ Awards counts as one of the largest award programs focused on promoting and celebrating the year’s best architecture and spaces. The Award’s ‘Sustainable Private House’ category focuses on private housing projects that incorporate sustainable systems and materials and follow best practices in ethical design, construction and operation. On the other hand, the ‘Architecture+Innovation’ category, which is based on public voting, is dedicated to projects that experiment with new ways of building, including the incorporation of new, experimental or unconventional design concepts and materials.

Living Places Copenhagen accomplishes these characteristics by demonstrating a new holistic approach to housing design with a three times lower carbon footprint and a first-class indoor climate. Living Places Copenhagen is an experimental housing project developed in partnership with Velux and Artelia, and features seven prototypes, five open pavilions and two completed homes. Living Places Copenhagen is the first manifestation of the Living Places concept, which responds to the global need for healthy, affordable, and scalable homes, demonstrating that we do not have to wait for future technology to build more sustainably. As such, Living Places aims to inspire the industry to design healthy homes that both enhance people’s wellbeing and prioritize the planet.

Thank you to Architizer for recognizing Living Places Copenhagen and to our partnerships for the collaboration behind Living Places.
