Building Green Copenhagen unveils this year's theme: "Beyond the Roadmap”
Imagine a world where the construction industry fully complies with the guidelines of climate science and operates within the set limits. Reduction Roadmap, initiated by EFFEKT and CEBRA, along with consulting engineers Artelia, has shed light on how much the construction industry needs to reduce its CO2 emissions to meet the Paris Agreement and raised the crucial question: What is the next step?
With more than 600 companies supporting the demand for tighter legislation ensuring that new construction should emit less than 5.8 kg of CO2 equivalents per m2 per year, a natural curiosity arises about what a sustainable construction industry actually looks like. This is precisely what Building Green aims to explore and discuss at this year's event at Forum.
Each year, more than 8000 participants gather at Forum for a program featuring Danish and international speakers, exciting debates, and guests can expect an inspiring day with five stages and exhibitions from around 170 companies. Building Green will be held on October 30th and 31st at Forum in Copenhagen, and with this year's theme "Beyond The Roadmap," Building Green aims to focus on the vision for a future of sustainable construction that can meet the goals of the Paris Agreement.
Building Green Copenhagen celebrates the mobilization already taking place in the industry while seeking answers to how a construction industry in line with climate science can take concrete form. With a growing awareness of the importance of sustainability, demand for booths has been massive, and Building Green Copenhagen therefore expects all booths to be sold out early this year. At the event, participants will also be able to delve into topics such as climate science & legislation, regenerative architecture and construction on the planet's terms, economics, and finally, behavior & mobilization. Building Green Copenhagen takes place on October 30th - 31st at Forum, Copenhagen. Participation is free both days.
