Regen Villages featured at Gasometer Oberhausen's 'Planet Ocean' exhibition
EFFEKT has been invited to display Regen Villages at the Planet Ocean exhibition for its integration of aquaponics, an agricultural technique combining fish farming with soilless plant cultivation.
The new exhibition at Gasometer Oberhausen in Germany, an industrial landmark and prominent event venue in Europe, presents the planet’s oceans and their diverse life forms, looking into the depths of this complex ecosystem, especially in the face of the climate emergency. The exhibition’s curators aim to highlight the significance and functionality of the world's oceans while stressing the imperative need for safeguarding water ecosystems.
Next to the vertical farming aquaponics, Regen Villages integrates a variety of other innovative technologies, such as renewable energy, energy storage, door-step high-yield organic food production, water management, and waste-to-resource systems, hereby addressing the challenges of a growing population, scarcity of resources, increasing CO2 emissions and a growing global food crisis.
We are delighted to participate in raising awareness about this important subject and our shared commitment to environmental and climate protection.
