Reduction Roadmap 2.0: A Børsen Sustainable Case 2024

Reduction Roadmap has been selected by Danish newspaper Børsen as one of this year’s exceptional sustainable cases.

The 50 selected cases are recognized for their outstanding initiatives that promote a sustainable transition of the business sector in Denmark, and will be featured at the "Børsen Bæredygtig Summit" on June 18th, 2024.

With Reduction Roadmap 2.0, EFFEKT, CEBRA, and Artelia Denmark have managed to gather the entire construction industry with an appeal that no company can commit to building within the framework of the Paris Agreement alone. It requires collective effort and common legislation. More than 600 companies and organizations from across the country have signed the petition to influence the negotiations for the building regulations of 2025.

Reduction Roadmap 2.0 is, therefore, not just a project, but a movement that inspires and mobilizes the entire construction industry towards CO2 emission reduction goals and a sustainable future for Danish construction. For the first time, construction in Denmark has a plan with scientifically based, annual CO2 reduction targets for the construction industry, introduced in 2022 with Reduction Roadmap. The tool, which in its initial version solely focused on new residential construction in Denmark, has now been expanded to encompass over 90% of all new construction in Denmark. In addition to single-family houses and apartment buildings, institutions and commercial buildings have been included as part of the expanded goal-setting tool, Reduction Roadmap 2.0.
