Last Friday the International Union of Architects launched the 2023 ‘UIA Guidebook for the 2030 Agenda’, which illustrates the interaction of architecture with each of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), emphasizing the relation among the various goals.
The book’s selection of new realised works and ideas from across the globe includes Living Places Copenhagen as the only Danish example. The projects are divided into three different categories, namely ‘Experiences from the past: built projects from the 20th century’, ‘Last decade projects: built projects from the 21st century’, and ‘Inspirations for the future: ideas and concepts for future projects’.
Living Places Copenhagen, developed in partnership with VELUX and Artelia, demonstrates an innovative approach to sustainable housing development based on low-carbon, affordable, scalable and socially-oriented homes.
The guidebook is inspired by “Architecture to the UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals”, which has two volumes published in 2018 and 2020
