Support Reduction Roadmap campaign to reduce industry emissions
No one can adhere to the Paris Agreement alone. But together, we can – and it requires political action. With the support of Realdania, the Reduction Roadmap has now been updated with the latest data.
The conclusion is that we need to reduce CO2 emissions from Danish construction by 96% in the coming 3-7 years to meet the Paris Agreements 1.5C target. The building regulations for 2025 are currently under negotiation, set to conclude by the end of 2023. That's why we are now calling out to industry professionals to support us in our efforts to engage with policymakers. Emissions standards should align with climate science to meet the Paris Agreement's goals.
The industry already has the solutions. A variety of innovative and ambitious projects across the industry have already proven that. EFFEKT’s latest contribution is Living Places Copenhagen – seven prototypes that show how we can develop sustainable buildings with a three times lower CO2 footprint and a first-class indoor climate. Living Places concept holds the lowest CO2 emissions in Denmark, demonstrating that we do not have to wait for future technology to build more sustainably.
