Yesterday afternoon, during a well-attended opening ceremony, Mayor of Culture and Leisure Mia Nyegaard cut the ribbon together with Chairman of Østerbro Lokaludvalg Allan Marouf – inaugurating the culture house and officially opening its door to the public.
A new gathering point for the neighborhood, Kulturcenter Kildevæld is a dynamic learning and culture hub all helping to create a common platform for social and cultural development.
The culture house was designed to be an open, flexible, and accessible gathering point which contains several programs to serve the district: a library, theatre/concert hall, activity room, workshop areas, café, kitchen, and conference facilities, as well as several other functions and spatial qualities that ensure a flexible use and a wide range of experiences for several different user groups.
