Gellerup Park nominated for 2022 Green Cities Europe Award
Gellerup City Park has been nominated to represent Denmark for the 2022 Green Cities Europe Award, which is part of EU campaign "More Green Cities for Europe".
Every year the award acknowledges the most inspiring green urban project selected out of the candidates representing each European participating countries.
Designed by EFFEKT, SLA, COWI, Social Action, Boris Brorman Jensen, and GAME for Brabrand Boligforening, the holistic project aimed to transform the flat 1960´s social housing outdoor areas of the neighborhood of Gellerup into a new urban park that adds social and lush green spaces, adding new playgrounds and various facilities for social and fitness activities – all immersed in a thriving vegetation.
