We are proud and honored to announce that together with Arkitema, COWI, Gemeinschaft and Creator Projects, we have won the competition to develop Frederiksberg Hospital area into a diverse, inclusive and lush neighborhood right in the heart of Frederiksberg.
The 6-months long design process culminated yesterday when the jury announced Team EFFEKT as the winner amongst the three strong and high-quality submissions of Team Vandkunsten / SLA and Team SLETH.
In the Jury's words:
"With Team EFFEKT's proposal as a basis, it will be possible to develop an urban community that will mark itself as an innovative proposal for sustainable urban development in the capital with conservation, the green and the mixed city as the focal point" - Competition Jury
By following the guiding principle of “Growing the New Out of the Old”, preserving and adapting the historical buildings and centenary trees, favoring a pedestrian network over car use, and increasing the overall biofactor, our team's proposal for the new district has the potential to become a new landmark for measurable, sustainable development of existing urban areas.
