The construction site of the long-awaited public plaza ‘Basarpladsen’ by the Nørrero Station broke ground last week.

In the coming months paving, soil preparation and street furniture will be put in place. The plaza will mainly be built from re-used construction debris from other public projects around Copenhagen. Granite pavers and large curbstones have already arrived on site.

The ground work is expected to be completed in mid/end September following which the planting of trees, shrubs, and perennials will begin. Just in time the autumn planting season.
