Double win in Vejle
EFFEKT wins the competition for two new viewpoints to be realized in Velje, Denmark.
The area of Velje fjord is charagterized by an existing larger network of pathways. The new architectural viewpoints will emphasize the existing natural outlooks, creating new attractions and giving access for people to experience the different landscapes of the area and the value they hold.
The first viewpoint, named Nørreskoven, consists of a boardwalk through the forest with different integrated features for play and stay, leading to the main feature: a circular bridge on the edge of the forest, overlooking the Fjortd of Vejle.
The proposal for Hvidbjerg is a subtle intervention enhancing the existing landscape and the terrain consisting of different textures, surfaces and geological strata, maximizing accessibility with a minimal impact on the natural environment.
The competition is organized by Vejle Municipality.
