EFFEKT wins bid to design new attractions for Hamaren Activity Park in Fyresdal, Norway

EFFEKT has won the bid to develop a series of new attractions and features for the Hamaren Activity Park in Fyresdal, Norway.

The primary design task is based around three elements; a pedestrian bridge connecting the Kjeøyni island to the mainland park. An elevated perimeter boardwalk surrounding the island allowing people to experience both treetops and the lake shore. And finally an interconnected boardwalk infrastructure connecting a series of interest and activity points scattered around the island. and existing and new activities on mainland - bouldering, top-rope climbing, trampoline, shelters and canoeing sites.

The strategy will incorporate the ability to phase the realization and expansion over time with as many of the physical elements prefabricated off site and brought in to minimize the impact on the existing habitats.

The first elements are scheduled for construction in spring 2020.

The strategy and design work will be developed in close collaboration with Faun Naturforvaltning and Fyresdal Kommune.
