EFFEKT has prequalified for the conversion and climate-proofing of the urban spaces of the city center of Tønder in South Jutland, as part of the team consisting of EnviDan, Trafikplan, and Jørgen Overby’s Tegnestue as subconsultants.

The city center of Tønder is characterized by a richness of urban quality, from historical buildings to more recent constructions, and the proposals should enhance the uniqueness of the urban center while at the same time suggesting a climate-adaptation plan for handling storm water and flooding.

The kick-start of the design process is planned for the beginning of June and the selected team is expected to be announced in Autumn 2019.
