EFFEKT and C.F. Møller win the competition for the new SIMAC
The competition inlcudes the new SIMAC (Svendborg International Maritime Academy) and the urban masterplan for the harbor area where the school is situated.
The new SIMAC is a maritime hub, which will be a future learning space drawing new people and activity to the city. The building is an integral part of the masterplan and designed as light and open structure to become a catalyst for the city life, innovation and commercial development on the postindustrial harbor front of Svendborg.
The project is a joint venture by the SMUC Foundation and the Svendborg Municipality with support from the AP Møller Foundation. The proposal is designed by EFFEKT and C.F. Møller Architects as lead consultant.
