Yesterday, September 26th, we celebrated groundbreaking of Kulturcenter Kildevæld - a new culture and community center in Østerbro, Copenhagen, DK. The groundbreaking ceremony was celebrated with speeches from three Mayors from Copenhagen Municipality, who also cut the first sod, Overborgmester Frank Jensen, Kultur- og Fritidsborgmester Carl Christian Ebbesen and Børne- og Ungdomsborgmester Pia Allerslev, as well as artistic performances and speeches from local organizations. Kulturcenter Kildevæld is designed as an open and multi-functional space to welcome a wide range of different users and activities - both from the neighbouring school, the local organizations and the surrounding city. The project is done in collaboration with KANT Arkitekter, and is part of a larger renovation of Kildevældsskolen.
