EFFEKT has been announced winners of the competition for KulturØpladsen - a new plaza at KulturØen (The Culture Island) in Middelfart, DK. The new plaza will revitalise the area as a new urban space for city life, culture, recreation and movement. With ten different activity zones placed around the Island, the new plaza allows for diverse and multifunctional user experiences and attractions to welcome both children, students, families, seniors, locals and tourists. The project also deals with a new storm and flood protection of the harbour front, and creates new connections between KulturØen, the harbour and the existing city.
