After three years on the drawing board, we have finally moved on site and initiated the renovation of the 140 dwellings and roof top garden on Enghavevej in Copenhagen, DK. The former modernistic hotel from 1971, later transformed into apartments, sits on top of a ground floor base housing a large food market. Our focus has been to upgrade and optimise the exterior by cutting off the existing facades and wrapping the concrete structure in a new high insulating facade system, which maximise daylight and also add spacious private balconies for each individual apartment. Furthermore, a green rooftop garden is established on the roof of the food market, between the two apartment blocks, creating a new communal outdoor space for the residents. The construction is scheduled for completion ultimo 2018.
