A social housing area of 27 blocks is in the progress of a lift at all levels, becoming more than self-sustaining in terms of energy consumption, more accessible with new roads and paths, and more homely with new typologies. The results of the transformation of housing blocks in Rosenhøj are beginning to show. Two of the 27 blocks are completely transformed with new facades and balconies. The renovation is part of the new masterplan for Viby South and over the coming years, the rest of Rosenhøj's blocks will go through the same process.

In 2011 Rosenhøj won the 1st prize for residential areas, handed out by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration.
