EFFEKT PREQUALIFIED FOR VINGE STATION AND SURROUNDING URBAN SPACE  |  May 02 2014

EFFEKT, Rambøll, Snøhetta and Møller & Grønborg will compose one among five teams designing an S-train station and the surrounding area in Vinge, east of Frederikssund. Vinge is one of the largest urban development areas in Denmark, estimated to take up a total area of 3.5 million square meters. The project competition is organized by Frederikssund Municipality and the aim is to create a station that can be an infrastructural hub and a social gathering point for the local residents.

The visualization is from 2012 when EFFEKT and Henning Larsen Architects won the idea competition for the masterplan. We are excited to have Vinge back on the drawing board and look forward to proceed into a whole new phase in the development of the new station city.
