EFFEKT in collaboration with KAAI and SLA won the competition to transform, renovate and densify a large social area in Aalborg. The strategy suggests a completely revised infrastructural system and updated and improved landscape design. By adding new residential towers, penthouse apartments and rowhouses, the existing catalogue of dwelling types is widely expanded to include a greater variety in size and typology to promote a greater diversity in the future demographic - hopefully improving the currently congested area. The project will commence in the beginning of 2015.
